November marks the beginning of the holiday season and whether we like it or not, Winter is not far off. Thanksgiving, a true American holiday when I was growing up was all about plenty and bounty; a harvest of unthinkable delights and aromas and traditions.  This year like so many of the last few years, bounty has taken on a new meaning.  Bounty is no longer measured in abundance, at least not the kind that is a 28 pound turkey that barely fits in the oven let alone a roasting pan.  Bounty is the hand that holds your own during Grace.  It may be a family member sitting next to you at your table or it may be a complete stranger at a soup kitchen. Bounty is the voice that speaks Grace. Either way, be thankful that you have a hand to hold and a voice of your own. Life is very different for so many of us now and although the years of abundance have passed, there is still so much to be thankful for. May God Bless us all and Happy Thanksgiving from Fourteen Lincoln Street.
